Job summary

Cogent Holdings Pte Ltd and its subsidiary SH Cogent Logistics Pte Ltd are seeking a Business Development Executive to drive revenue growth by identifying, securing and maintaining new clients for logistics solutions including warehousing and trucking services in Southeast Asia, with a focus on Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

• 2–3 years’ experience with a track record in business development.

Responsibilities

• Grow the logistics business in Southeast Asia, especially Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
• Conduct market research and monitor market trends.
• Gather market data to support development of market strategies.
• Identify opportunities for business expansion and new client acquisition.
• Assist in implementing strategic initiatives and manage assigned projects end-to-end.
• Prepare business development-related proposals, presentations and reports for Senior Management review.
• Project-manage transactions, ensuring milestones and deliverables with counter-parties.

The Business Development Executive is responsible to assist the Manager in our subsidiary company - SH Cogent Logistics Pte Ltd to drive revenue growth by identifying, securing and maintaining new clients for logistics solutions including warehousing and trucking services.

1. Work closely with the management and relevant parties to grow the logistics business in Southeast Asia market (particularly, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand & Vietnam).

2. Keep abreast of market trends and changes through market research, subscriptions to relevant agencies or newsletters, etc.

3. Assist in gathering market data and information for the development of market strategies.

4. Conduct in-depth research to identify new business expansion opportunities.

5. Assist in the implementation of the strategic initiatives and take end-to-end responsibilities for the project(s) assigned.

6. Prepare business development-related proposals, presentations and reports for Senior Management review.

7. Project manage the transactions, driving the transaction timetable, ensuring the quality of client deliverables, as well as manage counterparties to ensure transaction milestones are met.

Requirements:

1. Degree / Diploma in logistics / business or related field.

2. 2 -3 years’ experience with a track record in business development

3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

4. Strong negotiation and presentation skills
