Job summary

Ambition, a leading semiconductor company listed in China with international exposure, has set up its overseas HQ in Singapore and seeks a first headcount as Business Development Director to join the team.

You will lead business development efforts in Singapore and across international markets, with a focus on CSPs, OEMs/ODMs, and the electronics sector. You will work closely with Beijing HQ on market intelligence and performance reporting to shape overseas growth strategy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales or related roles.
• Proven experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Strong network in the Data Centre Ecosystem (DCE) with key stakeholders.
• Leadership or team management experience is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead BD efforts in Singapore and international markets, focusing on CSPs, OEMs/ODMs, and electronics.
• Develop and maintain lasting customer relationships, manage negotiations and contract execution.
• Formulate and execute sales strategies to grow the company’s footprint in semiconductors, especially in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence across strategic overseas regions.
• Collaborate with Beijing HQ on market intelligence and performance reporting.

Your new company is a well-known chip manufacturing listed company from China with international exposure and customers. The company has set up their overseas HQ in Singapore and is currently looking for first headcount as Business Development Director to join their team.

What you will be doing:

• Lead business development efforts in Singapore and across international markets, with a focus on Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), OEMs/ODMs, and the electronics sector.
• Develop and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships, manage commercial negotiations, and drive successful contract execution.
• Formulate and execute sales strategies to expand the company's footprint within the global semiconductor industry, particularly in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
• Identify new business opportunities and build market presence across strategic overseas regions.
• Work closely with headquarters in Beijing on business development initiatives, market intelligence, and regular performance reporting.

What you need for success:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or related commercial roles.
• Proven experience within the semiconductor industry.
• Strong understanding of the Data Centre Ecosystem (DCE) market, with an established network and relationships among key industry stakeholders and customers.
• Prior leadership or team management experience would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
