Responsibilities

• Identify and approach overseas manufacturers and technology companies with products suitable for the Singapore market.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers and strategic business partners.
• Evaluate new products, technologies and business opportunities for potential market entry.
• Negotiate and establish distribution, agency, marketing and strategic collaboration arrangements.
• Develop market-entry strategies and identify potential customers, projects and business partners in Singapore.
• Promote and market manufacturers' products to customers, contractors, developers, consultants and other relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and internal teams to develop product presentations, proposals and commercial opportunities.
• Attend overseas business meetings, factory visits, exhibitions and industry events.
• Monitor market trends, competitors and emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Business Development Director to join our growing team and drive the expansion of our business through strategic partnerships with overseas manufacturers, technology companies and product owners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying suitable manufacturers and technologies, establishing business relationships, and bringing their products into the Singapore market through distribution, marketing, project opportunities and strategic collaboration.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of relevant business development, sales, marketing or commercial experience.
• Strong network and experience in dealing with manufacturers, suppliers and technology companies, preferably from China and other Asian markets.
• Proven ability to develop new business opportunities and establish long‑term commercial relationships.
• Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
• Commercially driven with the ability to identify viable products and turn opportunities into business.
• Comfortable working independently and developing new markets from the ground up.
• Willingness and ability to travel overseas frequently for business meetings, factory visits and exhibitions.
• Proficiency in English is essential; Mandarin‑speaking ability would be an advantage.
• Experience in engineering, construction, energy, renewable energy, electrical products, building materials, industrial products or related sectors will be advantageous.
