Argyll Scott is seeking a Business Analyst to join our Singapore-based IT Transition Programme team. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, building the fact base for a major transformation and ensuring requirements traceability through design, migration, testing and acceptance.

Japanese speaking candidates will be prioritised as the programme collaborates closely with leadership in Japan.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business analysis on complex technology or transformation programmes.
• Requirements elicitation with senior business, technical, legal, risk and supplier stakeholders.
• Process mapping, traceability, inventory analysis, testing and business acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Map stakeholders, decision owners, business capabilities, entities, sites and operating processes.
• Run discovery interviews and workshops with business, technology and external stakeholders.
• Translate business objectives and commercial obligations into functional, non functional, security, data and transition requirements.
• Coordinate inventories across applications, data, integrations, identities, infrastructure, networks, cloud, OT, vendors, contracts and licences.
• Map dependencies between services, business capabilities, owners and criticality.
• Support option assessment and capture interim service scope, service levels and exit criteria.
• Maintain requirements traceability and build business scenarios and acceptance criteria.

Business Analyst, IT Transition Programme

Singapore | 12 month mission | Japanese speaking candidates prioritised

Argyll Scott accompanies global organisations through the transformation programmes that define them, and we stay for the long term. We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our consulting team in Singapore.

THE CLIENT

A global technology and healthcare group headquartered in Japan, with operations across Japan, Europe, South East Asia and the Americas. One of its businesses, around 3,000 people across 40 to 50 sites, is establishing its own dedicated IT environment to meet compliance requirements. A new programme team is being set up to deliver that transition, reporting into the business leadership in Japan.

THE ROLE

A balanced business and technology role. You will build the fact base the programme runs on: who and what is in scope, what moves, what stays, what is shared, and what depends on what. You will work with the Lead Architect and the Senior Project Manager, and keep every requirement traceable from origin through design, migration, testing and acceptance.

LANGUAGE

Japanese speaking is extremely useful in this role, which works closely with the business leadership and teams in Japan. Japanese speaking candidates will be prioritised.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

WHAT YOU BRING

• 5+ years of business analysis on complex technology or transformation programmes
• Requirements elicitation with senior business, technical, legal, risk and supplier stakeholders
• Process mapping, traceability, inventory analysis, testing and business acceptance
• Credible on both business and technology subject matter
• Comfortable across global time zones and supporting migration and cutover activities
• Bachelor degree in business, IT or a related discipline, or equivalent experience

ADVANTAGEOUS

• Experience of carve outs, entity separations or IT environment stand ups
• Medical device, manufacturing or regulated industry background
• CBAP, CCBA or similar business analysis certification
