Job summary

Sciente International Pte Ltd is seeking an entry-level Business Analyst to join the IT Applications team to support and enhance in-house applications. The role focuses on gathering requirements, gap analysis, and documentation, with opportunities to contribute to testing and UAT.

You will work closely with business users and product owners to ensure clear communication, translate needs into specifications, and help drive improvements across multiple IT applications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science.
• 1-2 years of experience in a Business Analyst role delivering and supporting IT applications.
• Experience in gathering requirements, performing gap analysis, and preparing documentation.
• Understanding of business needs with interest in business process analysis and re-engineering.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL, including ability to write and understand queries.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to develop innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements with business users/product owners for multiple applications systems and platforms.
• Translate business needs to ensure that developers and business users have a common understanding.
• Articulate business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
• Create and execute testing plans and coordinate User Acceptance Test (UAT).
• Facilitate tracking and reporting of project progress, issues, and risks to ensure timely milestones.
• Proficient in concurrently supporting multiple application systems and platforms.
• Adhere to organization and project standards & guidelines.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science;
• Must have 1-2years of experience in a Business Analyst role in delivering and supporting IT applications;
• Must have experience in gathering requirements, performing gap analysis, and preparing documentation;
• Demonstrated understanding of business needs with a strong interest in business process analysis and re-engineering;
• Foundational knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write and understand queries;
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders;
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to develop innovative solutions.

Desired Skill-set

• CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certified.
