Job summary

HUA DU ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Building Construction General Foreman to oversee plumbing and sanitary installation for commercial projects in Singapore.

You will coordinate site activities, supervise workers and subcontractors, and ensure work follows drawings, specifications, quality standards and safety rules. Responsibilities include supervising daily works, interpreting drawings, coordinating with project stakeholders, monitoring progress, and maintaining site records

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in Building Construction or related field.
• Experience supervising plumbing and sanitary works on commercial projects.
• Ability to read construction and M&E drawings.
• Knowledge of plumbing and sanitary installation methods and QC.
• Familiar with Singapore safety regulations.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily plumbing and sanitary installation works at sites.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with the project manager, site engineers, main contractors, consultants and other trades.
• Monitor progress, manpower deployment, material usage and installation schedules.
• Inspect completed works for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Enforce safety procedures on site.
• Identify site issues and report progress to the PM.

Job description

We are seeking a responsible, experienced Building Construction General Foreman to oversee plumbing and sanitary installation work for commercial construction projects in Singapore. The successful candidate will coordinate site activities, supervise workers and subcontractors, and ensure that work is carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily plumbing and sanitary installation works at commercial construction sites.

Read and interpret construction drawings, plumbing and sanitary layouts, and technical specifications.

Coordinate with the project manager, site engineers, main contractors, consultants and other trades to ensure smooth site progress.

Monitor work progress, manpower deployment, material usage and installation schedules.

Inspect completed works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality requirements and relevant Singapore regulations and standards.

Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning and rectification of plumbing and sanitary systems.

Ensure workers follow workplace safety procedures and site requirements.

Identify site issues, coordinate corrective actions and report progress to the project management team.

Maintain site records, inspection reports and other relevant project documentation.

Job Requirements

Relevant qualifications in Building Construction, Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, Sanitary Services or a related field.

Relevant experience in supervising plumbing and sanitary works, preferably on commercial construction projects.

Ability to read and interpret construction and M&E drawings.

Knowledge of plumbing and sanitary installation methods, site coordination and quality control.

Familiarity with applicable Singapore construction safety requirements and relevant regulatory standards.

Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work at construction sites and coordinate with different project stakeholders.
