Job summary

Land Transport Authority in Singapore is seeking a Deputy/Assistant Manager for Bus Rapid Transit Development to lead and coordinate the technical and operational workstreams across buses, stations, systems, and infrastructure for the Tuas South BRT project.

You will work closely with the Senior Manager and stakeholders to translate BRT concepts into detailed technical requirements, evaluate technology options and support a Singapore-specific BRT solution that is safe, reliable and operationally

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Knowledge in Engineering, Transport, Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience: At least 4 years in public transport, transport infrastructure, buses, rail, ITS, or major engineering projects.
• Technical Expertise: Experience in bus/rail vehicle systems, public transport operations, systems engineering or automation.
• Skills: Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, project management and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• BRT System Development: develop concept, requirements, interfaces for vehicles, stations, infrastructure, control and fare systems.
• Vehicle and Technology Assessment: evaluate higher-capacity BRT vehicles and related systems.
• Infrastructure and Station Development: support corridor, station and platform requirements and configurations.
• Operations and Service Planning: develop operating concepts and service requirements and assess capacity and timings.
• Technical Studies and Analysis: conduct studies, modelling, benchmarking and risk assessments.
• Procurement and Tender Support: prepare specs, tender docs and evaluation criteria.
• Testing, Trials and Implementation: develop testing requirements and coordinate demonstrations and commissioning.
• Safety and Risk Management: identify hazards and ensure testing and corrective actions.
• Stakeholder Management: coordinate with LTA divisions, operators, consultants and suppliers.
• Project Management: manage workstreams, schedules, risks and dependencies.
