Job summary

Michael Page (Personnel) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Accounts Payable professional for a 1-year contract with potential for extension. You will process vendor invoices, payments, and cash applications, while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires a Degree in Accounting and Finance, experience with AP transactions, proficiency in accounting software and Excel, and fluent Japanese to liaise with Japan-based stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must have background in accounting/finance with relevant qualifications.
• Degree in Accounting and Finance required.
• Experience in processing and managing accounts payable transactions.
• Proficiency in Japanese to liaise with Japan-based stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Problem-solving skills to address discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Handle vendor invoice processing and payment runs.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and monthly closings.
• Review bank statements and perform reconciliations.
• Support month-end close with reconciliations.
• Assist VAT and withholding tax reconciliations; support audits.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance and business teams.
• Take on ad-hoc assignments as needed.
