Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable and Expense Accountant for a 1-year maternity cover, supporting APCJ operations from Singapore. The role requires handling AP vendor and expense transactions, accruals, and tax compliance.

You will liaise with US corporate offices and local auditors, supervise outsourced accounting work, and drive process improvements including automation. The position offers hybrid work and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 6 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with APCJ tax rules including GST/VAT and withholding tax.
• Familiarity with robotics/automation in accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accounting: manage AP vendor and expense transactions for APCJ countries.
• Prepare, review and post vendor and expense accrual journals.
• Ensure adherence to local and US GAAP and tax laws including GST/VAT and withholding tax.
• Reconcile AP and Expense accounting systems.
• Manage cash flow projections and banking matters.
• Liaise with auditors, banks and accounting service providers.
• AP Vendor processing and payment of vendor invoices.
• Manage corporate expense reports and corporate card program.
• Support management reporting and analysis; supervise outsourced accountants.
