Job summary

Morgan McKinley Pte Ltd is seeking an AP/AR specialist fluent in Japanese to handle end-to-end AP/AR processes, billing, and reconciliations for its Singapore operations. You will collaborate daily with Japan-based vendors and internal teams to resolve payment queries and discrepancies.

The role requires 1-2 years of AP/AR experience, strong Excel skills, and a solid accounting foundation. The position supports local regulatory compliance and timely month-end closings.

Qualifications

• JLPT N1, native, or full professional fluency in Japanese to communicate with Japan stakeholders.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience handling AP/AR or partial sets of accounts.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent cross-cultural communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to meet tight monthly closing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions, including invoice coding, customer billing, and credit notes.
• Communicate daily with Japan-based vendors, clients, and internal teams to resolve payment queries, billing discrepancies, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and execute local and international vendor payments
• Manage collections, monitor aging accounts receivable reports, and follow up directly with Japan stakeholders on overdue balances.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, vendor statement checks, and customer ledger adjustments for AP and AR accounts.
• Assist with month-end closing tasks, including AP/AR accruals and unbilled revenue schedules
• Maintain accurate finance records to support internal controls, tax audits, and local regulatory rules.
