Brunel is seeking a Bid & Estimation Manager to lead the APAC bid and estimation function from Singapore. This role blends strategic direction with hands-on execution, overseeing governance, standards, and win strategies across the region.

You will manage pricing, risk assessments, and major estimates while coordinating with Sales, Finance, Delivery and Operations. The ideal candidate thrives on optimization, digital tools, and continuous improvement in bid methodologies.

My client is an MNC providing IT and security solutions across various industries (Energy / Pharmaceutical/ Semicon industry)

As a Bid & Estimation Manager, you would head the regional bid and estimation function. The role is part strategic and part hands-on. You would be setting direction, governance, and standards across APAC.

Strategic Leadership

• Lead the APAC bid and estimation function, providing direction and governance
• Develop regional bid strategies aligned with growth and profitability targets
• Drive bid qualification to maximise win probability and optimise resources
• Contribute to business planning, forecasting, and capacity management

Bid Management

• Oversee high-quality, compliant, and competitive proposals across the region
• Lead bid strategy, including win themes, pricing, risk assessments, and executive reviews
• Directly support strategic, complex, and high-value opportunities
• Continuously improve bid methodologies, tools, and templates

Technical Leadership

• Govern integrated security solution designs, including CCTV/VSS, VMS, access control, intrusion detection, intercoms, and integrated security platforms
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, standards, and cybersecurity requirements
• Promote innovation and emerging technologies
• Establish estimating methodologies, standards, and controls
• Review and approve major estimates, pricing, and commercial assumptions
• Track win rates, estimation accuracy, margins, and conversion ratios
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Sales, Finance, Delivery, Procurement, Operations, and Executive teams
• Engage customers, consultants, vendors, and technology partners
• Act as primary escalation point for bid and resource issues
• Lead and develop a team of Estimators and Bid/Presales Engineers across APAC
• Set performance objectives and drive succession and talent planning
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development

Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure adherence to governance, approval, and quality frameworks
• Maintain a library of templates, costing models, and technical standards
• Analyse bid outcomes to identify improvement opportunities
• Champion digital tools and automation, and uphold company values
