Beauty Salon Associate (Hair & Beauty Services)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and multi-skilled Beauty Salon Associate to join our professional beauty and wellness team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of hairdressing, hair treatment, and beauty enhancement services while maintaining excellent customer service and high standards of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional haircuts, hair trimming, hairstyling, blow-drying, straightening, and curling services according to customers' preferences.

• Provide professional hair dyeing, colouring, highlighting, and other hair colour enhancement services.

• Conduct hair and scalp assessments and perform specialised hair treatment therapies, including scalp cleansing, deep conditioning, hair repair, and nourishing treatments.

• Perform non-invasive cosmetic light-based beauty treatments using appropriate equipment, subject to relevant training and regulatory requirements.

• Provide professional eyebrow embroidery, eyebrow shaping, and eyebrow enhancement services.

• Perform eyelash extension applications, lash maintenance, and safe removal procedures.

• Conduct customer consultations to assess individual beauty needs and recommend suitable treatments, products, and aftercare routines.

• Operate and maintain salon equipment, beauty treatment devices, and professional hairstyling tools safely and effectively.

• Maintain proper hygiene, sanitation, and cleanliness of treatment areas, workstations, tools, and equipment.

• Provide personalised customer service, manage customer expectations, and ensure a comfortable and satisfactory salon experience.

• Recommend appropriate beauty packages, treatment programmes, and retail products to support customer retention and business growth.

• Maintain accurate customer treatment records, appointment schedules, and service documentation.

• Assist in daily salon operations, inventory monitoring, stock replenishment, and promotional activities.

• Work closely with team members to maintain operational efficiency and achieve salon service standards.

• Stay updated with emerging beauty trends, hairstyling techniques, treatment technologies, and industry best practices.

• Perform other relevant salon-related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in the hairdressing, beauty, or wellness industry preferred.

• Proficient in professional haircutting, hairstyling, hair colouring, and hair dyeing techniques.

• Possess practical knowledge and experience in hair and scalp treatment therapies.

• Skilled in eyebrow embroidery, eyebrow shaping, and eyelash extension techniques.

• Familiarity with cosmetic light-based beauty treatments and the safe operation of relevant equipment.

• Relevant professional certifications in hairdressing, beauty therapy, cosmetology, or related disciplines will be advantageous.

• Good understanding of hair care products, beauty treatment procedures, hygiene standards, and workplace safety practices.

• Ability to assess customers' needs and recommend appropriate hairstyles, beauty treatments, and aftercare solutions.
