We are looking for a responsible, customer-focused and hands-on Beauty Salon Supervisor to assist in managing the daily operations of the beauty salon.
The Supervisor will oversee staff, monitor service quality, support sales performance, handle customer enquiries and ensure the salon maintains high standards of cleanliness, professionalism and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Salon Operations
- Assist the Salon Manager with daily salon operations.
- Ensure the salon opens and operates smoothly according to company procedures.
- Monitor cleanliness, hygiene and overall salon presentation.
- Ensure treatment rooms, workstations and equipment are properly maintained.
- Handle day-to-day operational issues and elevate major matters to management.
2. Staff Supervision
- Supervise beauticians, therapists and other salon staff.
- Prepare staff schedules and assist with manpower allocation.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality and performance.
- Guide and coach staff on service standards and customer handling.
- Assist in training new employees.
- Maintain good teamwork and discipline within the salon.
3. Customer Service
- Welcome customers and ensure they receive professional service.
- Assist customers with treatment selection and appointment enquiries.
- Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally.
- Resolve service issues where possible and elevate complex matters to management.
- Build good customer relationships and encourage repeat visits.
4. Sales & Business Performance
- Support the salon in achieving monthly sales targets.
- Monitor daily sales and staff performance.
- Promote beauty treatments, packages, memberships and retail products.
- Encourage staff to provide suitable recommendations to customers.
- Support promotional campaigns and customer retention activities.
5. Service Quality
- Monitor the quality and consistency of beauty treatments and services.
- Ensure staff follow company SOPs and treatment procedures.
- Conduct regular checks on customer service standards.
- Identify service issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure customers receive a professional and pleasant salon experience.
6. Inventory & Equipment
- Monitor stock levels of beauty products, treatment supplies and consumables.
- Assist with stocktaking and inventory records.
- Ensure products are used properly and wastage is minimised.
- Report equipment problems and arrange servicing when required.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained.
7. Administration & Reporting
- Assist with daily sales and operational reports.
- Monitor appointment schedules and staff bookings.
- Maintain proper customer and operational records.
- Report staff, customer and operational issues to the Salon Manager.
- Assist with other administrative duties when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a beauty salon, spa, wellness or retail service environment.
- At least 2–3 years of relevant experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Beauty therapy / cosmetology qualification is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of beauty treatments and salon operations.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Able to lead and motivate a team.
- Good sales and interpersonal skills.
- Well-groomed and professional appearance.
- Responsible, organised and able to work independently.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
