Job summary

KEONG SAIK BAKERY PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a customer-focused cafe team member at Chip Bee Gardens. You will greet guests, build rapport, and deliver service with a smile.

Your duties include stocking bread and cake displays, operating the POS, preparing coffee and teas, heating pastries, packing takeaways, and suggesting promotional items to guests.

Maintain cleanliness, wash dishes, sweep and mop floors, and perform other duties as required by the company.

Qualifications

• Greet customers and build rapport with guests.
• Stock bread and cake displays and maintain product knowledge for upselling.
• Operate POS system and assist with cashier tasks.
• Prepare coffee and other beverages, including pastries for orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the cafe and dining area.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, build rapport, and provide friendly service.
• Ensure bread and cake displays are fully stocked at opening and during hours.
• Brew coffee/tea and prepare beverages for orders.
• Suggestive selling of promotional items to guests.
• Handle food preparation, packing takeaway orders, and making sandwiches.
• Maintain cleanliness: wipe displays, tables, chairs, and floors; wash dishes.
• Perform other duties as required by the Company.

Job description

Work location: Chip Bee Gardens (Holland Village)

Prioritize customers - Greet every customer, treat them as your guest, serve with a smile, take initiative to approach customer and build rapport with them;

Product knowledge - Understand the products so as to be able to introduce them to customers;

Ensure bread and cake displays are fully stocked at opening time, as well as throughout operating hours. Ensure stock level and availability is updated on POS system.

Barista duties - ensure coffee is calibrated and standards are maintained. Brew coffee/tea/milo dispensers if there are preorders.

Suggestive selling and recommend promotional items to every single guest

Food preparation such as heating up pastries, packing takeaway orders, making sandwiches.

Maintain cleanliness & tidiness of the cafe - glass display and glass doors are wiped regularly, chairs are placed neatly, tables are cleared and wiped timely

Wash dishes

Sweep & mop floor

Wash toilet

Any other duties as required by the Company
