Job description

1 year contract (renewal basis); Ang Mo Kio; Monday to Friday: 8.30 AM – 6 PM; Basic Salary / Up to $5,800.

Responsibilities

• Configure and administer Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) storage and associated components
• Configure and administer Storage Area Network (SAN) and associated components, including Fibre Channel switch administration
• Configure and administer data restore and disaster recovery
• Configure and administer data backup clients and servers
• Maintain storage aspects of new server integrations, storage allocation, and Change Management
• Set up procedures to consolidate storage of data from different platforms (i.e., Windows, UNIX, and Linux)
• Troubleshoot and fix storage issues
• Perform routine equipment check and preventative maintenance
• Storage analysis, capacity planning, and performance planning of storage components
• Document policies and procedures to support the operational storage environment and participate in the design and ongoing refinement of procedures and policies
• Prepare reports on storage administration best practices, new technologies, etc., and recommend enhancements and configuration changes to improve and optimize storage
• Ensure the data is accessible and recoverable
• Develop, implement and oversee policies and procedures to ensure consistent storage provisioning, uptime, regulatory compliance and data protection
• Participate in incident management, change request, service request, and change request

• Monday to Friday: 8.30 AM – 6 PM (have to be on standby if required)
• Basic salary / Up to $5,800 (depending on experience and qualification)

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience on backup solution
• Diploma / Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• Experience with CommVault Backup Solution (version 10 and 11)
• Familiarity with Azure Stack
• Past working experience in Cloud environment is an advantage
• Able to handle demanding service response and recovery turnaround
• Able to manage daily support tasks to meet stringent SLA requirements
• Excellent scheduling and multitasking skills
• Meticulous and process-oriented
• Good, hard-working attitude with ability to work well under pressure
• Good communication skills: English (written, spoken)
• Good analytical skills with ability to work with others to resolve problems
