Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a Backend Engineer to join the Global Payment Network PI team in Singapore. You will design and build scalable backend systems for payment instruments, perform code reviews, and work with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into actionable tasks.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in backend roles, strong knowledge of Java/Go/C++, and experience with relational databases and distributed architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in backend development and distributed systems architecture.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and backend infrastructure.
• Strong analytical thinking and exceptional attention to details.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex ideas and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable backend systems and architectures;
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code; review and debug code to maintain overall system quality;
