Job summary

ByteDance in Singapore is seeking a backend engineer to design and develop scalable backend systems for the Payment Network PI team, delivering high-quality code and robust architectures for TikTok-related platforms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate complex business needs into actionable tasks, and continuously explore new technologies to maintain system reliability and performance in a fast-growing tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Experience in one or more general purpose programming languages such as Java/Go/C++/C#/Python.
• Proven backend development and distributed systems experience.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and backend infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
• 2+ years relevant work experience from a large-scale internet business (Preferred).
• Experience in payment systems or financial transaction processing is a plus (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend systems and architectures.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code; review and debug code to maintain overall system quality.
