Job summary

ByteDance’s Global Payment team in Singapore is seeking a Backend Software Engineer (Stability) to strengthen a highly available, high‑performance payments platform powering TikTok and other ByteDance services. You will design and implement end‑to‑end stability guarantees, respond to production issues, and lead critical projects across Global Payments subdomains.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, strong backend programming skills (C/C++/Java/Go/Python),

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical background, or equivalent experience.
Experience with high-concurrency, complex business systems or service management.
Proficient in at least one backend language: C/C++/Java/Go/Python.
Strong analytical thinking and excellent troubleshooting skills.
Positive, optimistic, strong sense of responsibility, self-driven, and good team communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Optimize the critical architecture of Global Payments, designing a highly available, high‑performance, and highly maintainable system to ensure stability and globalization.
Design and implement a guarantee system for end‑to‑end stability of payment business.
Respond to production issues to guarantee payment service uptime.
Lead critical technical special projects across overall Global Payments subdomains.
Enhance system stability, security, compliance, and technical efficiency.
Architect the entire technical infrastructure for Global Payments.
