Job summary

Monee, a leading digital payments and financial services provider, seeks a backend engineer to design, develop and optimize digital banking platforms. You’ll work on scalable, high-availability systems and collaborate with product teams to translate business needs into robust features.

Requirements include a CS-related bachelor’s degree and 1+ year in backend development with C++ or Python, plus knowledge of MySQL, Redis, Kafka and K8s. Experience with AI and AI-assisted coding is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, AI or related fields.
• Minimum 1 year of full-time backend development experience using C++ or Python.
• Hands-on knowledge of databases (MySQL) and middleware (Redis, Kafka, microservices/K8s).
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, networks and operating systems.
• Experience with agentic AI or Harness Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design, development and optimization of digital banking backend services.
• Contribute to server-side architecture for scalable, secure systems.
• Translate business needs into technical designs and features.
• Optimize performance, stability, and user experience for high-concurrency scenarios.
• Develop internal developer tools, automation scripts and workflows.
• Explore AI technologies and their applications in banking scenarios.
