Job summary

Monee SG Private Limited in Singapore is seeking a backend developer to design, implement, and optimize digital banking backend services and platforms. You will deliver high-quality, maintainable code and contribute to scalable, secure systems.

You should have at least 1 year of backend experience in C++ or Python, strong CS fundamentals, and familiarity with databases like MySQL and middleware such as Redis and Kafka. FinTech domain experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of full-time backend development experience using C++ or Python.
• Prior working experience with agentic AI or Harness Engineering.
• Solid CS foundation: data structures, algorithms, networks and OS.
• Hands-on experience with databases (e.g., MySQL) and middleware (Redis, Kafka, microservices/K8s).
• FinTech domain experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, and optimization of digital banking backend services and platforms.
• Contribute to server-side architecture designing high-performance, secure, scalable distributed systems.
• Translate business requirements with Product Managers into technical designs and features.
• Continuously optimize system performance, stability, and resource usage for high-concurrency banking scenarios.
• Design and develop internal developer tools, automation scripts, and workflows.
• Explore emerging AI technologies and evaluate their banking applications.
