Job description

We're seeking an experienced, savvy and strategic communications professional to join our Global Communications team and lead TikTok's B2B Communications efforts in APAC. This role will focus on comprehensive communications strategies aimed at business, agency, marketing and advertising industry audiences while also supporting executive messaging, go-to-market storytelling and brand partnerships. This role will help shape, build and execute our B2B positioning and broader communications strategy, working closely with cross‑functional teams and global partners across and including Consumer, Content, Marketing, Product, Revenue, and Communications to develop impactful initiatives and programs for key external audiences.

Responsibilities
  • Lead B2B communications strategy across APAC, and be the first point of contact for GBS, GBM and GMPT teams in the region at an APAC level.
  • Contribute to the execution of TikTok's B2B communications strategy and programs for TikTok’s partnerships team across APAC working closely with the global comms market leads.
  • Build awareness of our partnerships and monetization products through media and industry‑facing initiatives that articulate our mission, values and technology in APAC.
  • Work cross‑functionally with regional and global communications teams based on regional and market needs to drive clear narratives about our business product, partnerships and vision.
  • Build close relationships with and provide regular communications counsel to the leadership of the APAC sales, business marketing and partnership teams.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams across APAC to deliver compelling and impactful events for our clients and business stakeholders, and coach company spokespeople for press engagements.
  • Develop and execute press strategies, messaging, and communications guidance related to our commercial offerings and strategic partnerships for large customers and small/medium‑sized businesses across all aspects such as products, measurement, creative lab, and research.
  • Manage inbound press inquiries and interact with media on a range of issues. Lead issues management and crisis response strategies for B2B audiences with a focus on trust and transparency.
  • Train and advise APAC B2B spokespeople for media interviews, press conferences and presentations.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s)
  • BA or BS degree
  • Minimum of 10 years’ of Communications experience, with at least 5 years of experience covering Asia Pacific region
  • 5 years of experience working in social media, Internet or Technology companies
  • Excellent written communications skills
  • Deep understanding of public opinions and media sentiment, with strong experience in managing media
  • An excellent communicator who can successfully build relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • A team player who can lead projects and strong project management skills
Preferred Qualification(s)
  • Experience working in cross‑border, diverse environment is preferred
  • Ability to cope well and gain trust with internal stakeholders, proven track record of working in a dynamic and large organization is preferred
  • Ability to multitask efficiently under pressure and ambiguity, with self‑starting and motivated attitude in a fast‑paced environment
