Job summary

The Sourcing King Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Sales Manager to lead our Building Materials sales team. This hunter role requires opening new accounts, managing tenders, and driving revenue through active prospecting while coaching three Sales Executives.

You will build relationships with contractors and project stakeholders, work with our China sourcing network, and manage end-to-end tender processes, RFQ reviews, pricing, and submissions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of B2B sales experience in building materials or related construction sectors.
• Hands-on experience managing project tenders and RFQs.
• Proven track record of acquiring new accounts, not just managing existing ones.
• Ability to lead and motivate a small sales team.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Prospect and acquire new B2B accounts — contractors, main contractors, developers, and project owners.
• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline across active projects in construction and renovation.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to close and repeat business.
• Conduct site visits, client meetings, and spec presentations to key decision-makers.
• Work with our China sourcing network to match client specifications and deliver competitive proposals.
• Own the end-to-end tender process — identifying, qualifying opportunities, submission and tracking outcomes.
• Review RFQs, tender documents and project specifications; assess scope, requirements and viability.
• Prepare and submit tender responses including pricing, product specs, and supporting docs.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3 Sales Executives to achieve targets.
• Report sales activity, pipeline status, tender outcomes, and key account updates to the Sales Manager.
