Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years hands-on experience in cloud operations, administration, and deployments.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day operations and administration of Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Operations & Implementation Engineer to join our team in a client-facing delivery role. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day Azure cloud operations, infrastructure administration, cloud migrations, implementations, and automation.

The role requires strong hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure and migration technologies, along with the ability to work closely with solution architects, technical teams, and clients. The engineer will help implement and maintain secure, scalable, highly available, and automated cloud environments while ensuring operational processes comply with agreed SLAs and standards.

Key Responsibilities::

• Perform day-to-day operations and administration of Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Implement, configure, and maintain Azure cloud environments in accordance with performance, security, scalability, availability, and maintainability standards.
• Design and implement infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, ARM Templates, and PowerShell.
• Maintain Azure infrastructure using automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and configuration records.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and technical teams to provide expertise on cloud operations and infrastructure implementation.
• Participate in cloud migration projects, including migration of virtual machines and databases using Azure Migrate.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and operational issues within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Monitor cloud environments and proactively identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in client discussions, operational meetings, technical reviews, and process improvement initiatives.
• Support the implementation of cloud solutions and ensure operational readiness following deployments and migrations.
• Follow cloud governance, security, compliance, and operational standards.
• Keep technical knowledge and certifications up to date with the latest Azure technologies, cloud trends, and industry practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience::

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud operations, administration, infrastructure implementation, and deployments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services.
• Experience in Azure cloud migrations, preferably using Azure Migrate.
• Strong knowledge of Azure administration, infrastructure management, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with one or more automation/IaC technologies such as:
• Terraform
• Ansible
• ARM Templates
• PowerShell
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or a higher-level Azure certification is mandatory.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a client-facing environment.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong ownership of operational issues.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a technical delivery team.

Candidate Profile::

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Azure Cloud Engineer who can manage daily cloud operations while also contributing to infrastructure implementations, automation, and migration projects. The candidate should be comfortable working directly with clients, collaborating with architects and technical teams, and taking ownership of operational issues through to resolution.
