Job summary

COMBUILDER PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer with strong hands-on experience in AWS or Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on managing cloud infrastructure, ensuring operational stability, supporting incident resolution, and driving continuous improvement of cloud services.

You will provide technical guidance, develop operational best practices, and mentor junior cloud engineers while collaborating with project teams, vendors, and customers on cloud

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of IT infrastructure or cloud operations experience.
• At least 3 years hands-on experience supporting AWS and/or Azure environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, compute, storage, and monitoring services.
• Experience with IaC tools and scripting for automation.
• Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity concepts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call support and major incident management when required.

In addition to technical responsibilities, providing some technical guidance, and helping to develop operational best practices within the team.

Requirements

Mandatory

• Minimum 3 years of IT infrastructure or cloud operations experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience supporting AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, compute, storage, and monitoring services.
• Experience with cloud operational support, incident management, and problem management.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep.
• Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar.
• Good understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.

Preferred

• AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, Administrator).
• Microsoft Azure Certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Experience with container platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience in enterprise-grade Cloud environment e.g. GCC.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Experience working in a managed services or enterprise operations environment.

Hands-on technical leader who enjoys solving operational challenges. Strong AWS operational experience. Able to lead troubleshooting during incidents and outages. Patient and willing to coach junior engineers. Proactive, customer-focused, and able to work independently.
