ELLIOTT MOSS CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a motivated Junior Cloud Administrator to support the administration, monitoring, security and maintenance of Microsoft Azure GCC cloud environments.

The role suits an early-career professional eager to build hands-on expertise across cloud infrastructure, networking, databases, security and automation. You will work with cloud, infrastructure, database and security teams to ensure stable, secure cloud operations.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and cloud concepts.
• Basic understanding of Azure SQL Database and SQL Server administration.
• Experience or working knowledge of Windows Server and RHEL/Linux administration.
• Understanding of Azure networking fundamentals, including VNets, NSGs, routing and private connectivity.
• Basic scripting skills using PowerShell and Azure CLI.
• Understanding of cloud security, identity management, RBAC, MFA and access controls.
• Familiarity with backup, recovery, system patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor Azure subscriptions, resources, resource groups, policies and operational health.
• Support Azure Virtual Machines running Windows Server and RHEL/Linux.
• Assist with the administration of SQL Server hosted on Azure Virtual Machines.
• Support Azure SQL Database operations, including monitoring, backup verification and basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, alerts and dashboards.
• Support Azure networking components, including VNets, Network Security Groups, route tables, VPN gateways, private endpoints and private DNS zones.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control, multifactor authentication and user access.
• Support Vulnerability Management Services remediation activities, including patching and hardening, remediation tracking and documentation.
• Assist with security reviews, compliance audits and implementation of security recommendations.
• Support backup, recovery, patching and regular operational health checks.
• Develop and maintain basic automation scripts using PowerShell and Azure CLI.
• Assist with Infrastructure as Code implementations and configuration management.
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, server, networking and database-related issues.
• Escalate complex incidents and support timely resolution.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in incident management, change management and service-request processes.

We are seeking a motivated Junior Cloud Administrator to support the administration, monitoring, security and maintenance of Microsoft Azure GCC cloud environments. The successful candidate will work closely with cloud, infrastructure, database and security teams to ensure stable, secure and efficient cloud operations.

This role is suitable for an early-career professional with foundational Microsoft Azure knowledge and an interest in developing hands-on expertise across cloud infrastructure, networking, databases, security and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor Azure subscriptions, resources, resource groups, policies and operational health.

Required Skills and Experience

• Up to three years of relevant experience in cloud administration, infrastructure support or systems administration.
• Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and cloud concepts.
• Basic understanding of Azure SQL Database and SQL Server administration.
• Experience or working knowledge of Windows Server and RHEL/Linux administration.
• Understanding of Azure networking fundamentals, including VNets, NSGs, routing and private connectivity.
• Basic scripting skills using PowerShell and Azure CLI.
• Understanding of cloud security, identity management, RBAC, MFA and access controls.
• Familiarity with backup, recovery, system patching and vulnerability remediation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) is advantageous.
• Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900) is advantageous.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as ARM templates, Bicep or Terraform.
• Familiarity with IT service-management processes and tools.
