Job summary

Public Service Division seeks a Business Development professional to establish a pipeline and calendar of association congresses and meetings in Singapore. You will analyze market intelligence to boost Singapore’s standing as a premier MICE destination for biomedical, health sciences and healthcare events.

You will drive BD activities with non-profit stakeholders, MICE intermediaries and STB regional offices, lead industry alliances, and contribute to sector growth. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 to 5 years of working experience.
• Analytical ability and strong writing skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong business development or customer account management.
• MS Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop a pipeline and robust calendar of non-profit or association events within the biomedical, applied health sciences and healthcare sectors in Singapore.
• Gather and analyse market intelligence data to boost Singapore’s competitiveness in attracting and creating business events.
• Proactively undertake business development activities, locally and overseas, working with not-for-profit stakeholders, MICE intermediaries and STB Regional Offices in bids for conventions and meetings.
• Lead industry alliances and support conventions and meetings sector growth through industry development initiatives.
• Role involves travel.
