Job summary

GovTech in Singapore seeks a Business Development professional to build a robust calendar of association congresses and non-profit events in biomedical and healthcare sectors. You will collaborate across divisions, gather market intelligence, and help position Singapore as a leading MICE destination.

You will engage with not-for-profit stakeholders, MICE intermediaries and STB Regional Offices on bids, while driving initiatives to grow the conventions and meetings sector.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of working experience.
• Analytical ability and strong writing skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong business development or customer account management.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Establish a pipeline and calendar of non-profit or association events in biomedical, health sciences and healthcare sectors.
• Gather and analyse market intelligence to boost Singapore’s competitiveness for business events.
• Undertake local and overseas business development with not-for-profit stakeholders, MICE intermediaries and STB Regional Offices.
• Lead industry alliances and support sector growth through developmental initiatives.
• Role involves travel.
