Associate - Host / Floor
Purpose of the Role
Deliver warm, attentive and knowledgeable hospitality while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the floor. Create positive guest experiences through genuine engagement, strong product knowledge and thoughtful recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service
- Welcome and engage guests warmly throughout their visit.
- Take orders accurately and communicate guest requests, dietary requirements and special requests clearly to the relevant teams.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and ensure guests are attended to throughout their experience.
- Maintain tables and service areas to ensure the floor remains clean, organised and presentable.
- Respond to guest enquiries and feedback professionally, escalating service issues to the Supervisor or Manager when necessary.
Product Knowledge & Sales
- Build strong knowledge of Mr Bucket's food, beverages, chocolates, retail products and experiences.
- Provide confident and relevant product recommendations based on guests' preferences and needs.
- Proactively identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell in a natural and guest-focused manner.
- Keep up to date with seasonal products, promotions, experiences and new launches.
Floor Operations
- Support smooth service flow through food running, table maintenance, clearing and resetting tables, and attending to guest requests.
- Complete opening and closing duties according to operational procedures.
- Assist with restocking, cleaning and maintaining floor readiness throughout the shift.
- Follow company service standards, SOPs, hygiene requirements and operational procedures.
- Communicate product shortages, guest concerns or operational issues promptly to the Supervisor or Manager.
Teamwork & Cross-Functional Support
- Work closely with Floor, Bar, Retail, Kitchen and Experiences to support a seamless guest journey.
- Participate actively in cross-training and rotation across departments where operationally required.
- Support events, workshops and experiences when required.
- Contribute to overall cleanliness, sales and guest experience beyond immediate assigned duties.
- Support teammates during busy service periods and contribute positively to the team environment.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant hospitality, F&B, retail or customer-facing experience is an advantage, but not required.
- Genuine interest in hospitality, customer service and learning.
- Warm, approachable and comfortable engaging with different types of guests.
- Willing to learn and develop strong product knowledge.
- Confident in making recommendations and comfortable with upselling.
- Proactive, dependable and willing to support the team where needed.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.

Working Conditions
- 5-day work week on a rotating roster.
- Weekend and public holiday work is required.
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
- May be required to support events, experiences and operational needs outside standard service periods.
