Job summary

Mama Shelter Singapore is seeking a Guest Experience Server to bring warm, fun hospitality to guests from arrival to departure, delivering memorable moments and contributing to outlet revenue through confident recommendations.

You will own tables, take accurate orders, upsell thoughtfully, and collaborate with Kitchen and Bar to ensure smooth service in a lively, fast-paced environment while building guest relationships to encourage repeat visits.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be warm, friendly and confident with guests.
• Sales-minded with ability to upsell confidently.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with warm, energetic and authentic Mama hospitality.
• Take ownership of assigned tables from welcome to departure.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and provide personalised recommendations.
• Anticipate guest needs, check satisfaction and respond quickly to requests and feedback.
• Recognise VIPs, regular guests, celebrations and special occasions and help create memorable moments.
• Build genuine connections with guests and encourage them to return.
• Actively contribute to sales and average spend through confident recommendations and upselling.
• Recommend food, beverages, cocktails and promotions based on guest preferences.
• Learn and maintain good knowledge of menus, ingredients, allergens, promotions and current F&B offerings.
• Understand daily sales and upselling targets and contribute towards achieving them.
• Serve and run food and beverages promptly and accurately.
• Communicate closely with Kitchen, Bar, Supervisors and the wider service team to ensure smooth service.
• Clear, clean and reset tables efficiently to maintain table availability and restaurant readiness.
• Support other sections with food running, drink running, clearing and resetting during busy periods.
• Maintain side stations, service equipment and restaurant cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Assist with events, group bookings, activations and special functions when required.
• Work as one team and step in wherever support is needed.
• Maintain a positive, energetic and professional attitude throughout the shift.
• Be open to feedback, coaching and continuous learning.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, grooming and Mama Shelter service standards.

The Guest Experience Server brings the Mama Shelter experience to life through warm, fun and genuine hospitality.

This is a hands-on, guest-focused and sales-driven role responsible for looking after guests from arrival to departure, delivering great service, creating memorable moments and contributing to outlet revenue through confident recommendations and upselling.

Previous hospitality experience is a plus, but not essential. We value the right mindset, positive attitude, personality and willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service

Welcome and engage guests with warm, energetic and authentic Mama hospitality.

Take ownership of assigned tables throughout the full guest journey, from welcome to departure.

Take accurate food and beverage orders and provide personalised recommendations.
