Job summary

TÜV SÜD Group in Singapore is seeking a laboratory technician to support fire testing projects onsite. You will set up test specimens, instruments and procedures, and ensure data is collected and reported accurately. This is a full-time, onsite role in Singapore.

The role requires a Nitec or higher qualification, hands-on lab experience, strong analytical skills, and good teamwork. You will help maintain equipment and support compliance with ISO/IEC 17025.

Qualifications

• Minimum Nitec or Higher Nitec in Engineering, Fire Safety, Materials Science, or related discipline.
• Experience in laboratory, testing, inspection, or engineering environments is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; safety-conscious.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and execution of fire testing projects in accordance with standards.
• Set up test specimens, equipment, and instrumentation.
• Monitor tests, collect and record data, and assist in test reports.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure ISO/IEC 17025 compliance.

• Support the preparation and execution of fire testing projects in accordance with applicable standards and laboratory procedures.
• Set up test specimens, equipment, and instrumentation for testing activities.
• Monitor tests, collect and record data, and assist in the preparation of test reports and documentation.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
• Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders to support project delivery and resolve operational matters.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
