Job summary

TÜV SÜD PSB Pte. Ltd. seeks a Lab Operations Excellence Specialist to strengthen performance and readiness of laboratory operations in Singapore and the region.

You will lead transformation across labs, partnering with leaders, technical experts and commercial teams to boost service delivery, productivity, turnaround times, quality and customer experience while upholding safety and integrity standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, industrial engineering, operations management, science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory operations, operational excellence, process improvement or business transformation.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end laboratory service delivery, operational workflows and supporting systems.
• Experience supporting laboratory integrations, expansions, technology enablement or operating-model changes is advantageous.
• Hands‑on capability in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, value-stream mapping or comparable continuous-improvement methodologies; formal certification is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, structured problem‑solving and data‑visualisation skills, with the ability to turn operational data into prioritised actions and measurable outcomes.
• Proven ability to lead change through influence, coach teams and constructively challenge established practices while building trusted, collaborative relationships.
• Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to engage laboratory, commercial and leadership stakeholders across functions and cultures.

Responsibilities

• Lead laboratory transformation initiatives, including restructuring, workflow redesign and operating-model optimisation across laboratory functions and sites.
• Analyse end-to-end laboratory service-delivery processes to identify and prioritise opportunities to improve productivity, capacity utilisation, turnaround time, quality, cost effectiveness and customer experience.
• Drive continuous improvement programs using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and other operational excellence methodologies.
• Standardise laboratory processes, tools, KPIs, and best practices across multiple laboratory sites.
• Partner with laboratory managers and operational teams to implement sustainable process improvements and change initiatives.
• Support laboratory integration, expansion and transformation projects, ensuring smooth implementation of new workflows and operating models.
• Develop performance dashboards and operational metrics to monitor productivity, capacity utilisation, quality performance, and continuous improvement outcomes.
• Translate technology, customer and market trends into laboratory capability requirements, helping shape future skills, equipment and service-readiness roadmaps.
• Engage cross-functional stakeholders to align improvement priorities with business objectives, customer needs and TÜV SÜD commitment to quality, safety and sustainability.

We are seeking a Lab Operations Excellence Specialist to strengthen the performance, resilience and future-readiness of our laboratory operations in Singapore and across the region. This is a high-impact role for a practical change leader who can translate strategic and market priorities into better ways of working in the laboratories.

You will lead transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across laboratory functions and sites. Working closely with laboratory leaders, technical specialists, commercial teams and enabling functions, you will improve service delivery, productivity, turnaround time, quality performance and customer experience, while safeguarding the standards of quality, safety and integrity that underpin trust in our services.
