Job summary

CM METAL PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Site Engineer to support structural steel fabrication and erection on projects.

You will attend site meetings with the Main Contractor and monitor progress to ensure milestones are met. Requirements: Diploma/Degree in Civil/Structural/Construction Engineering, at least 3 years in structural steel fabrication/erection, ability to read drawings, knowledge of welding/bolting, and familiarity with safety practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Civil/Structural/Construction Eng.
• 3+ years in structural steel fabrication/erection.
• Ability to read structural and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of welding and bolting for site works.
• Familiarity with safety practices (WSH).
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Job Responsibilities

• Attend site meetings, inspections, and monitoring of project progress with the Main Contractor.
• Ensure safe work procedures are implemented to control risk
• Other scopes of work to be assigned by the Managing Director
• Liaise with other departments to ensure information, materials or other resources to ensure project progress
• Any other tasks deemed necessary by the company related to the execution of projects

Requirements

• -Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering or related discipline.
• -Relevant experience in structural steel fabrication and/or erection. (at least 3 years experience)
• -Able to read and interpret structural steel drawings and shop drawings.
• -Knowledge of structural steel installation, bolting, welding and site coordination.
• -AutoCAD knowledge
• -Familiar with construction site safety requirements and WSH practices.
• -Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• -Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
• -Willing to work on construction sites and attend site meetings as required.
• -Able to speak and writing in English.
