seed system pte. ltd. in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Service Manager (Electrical) to supervise maintenance and critical infrastructure across multiple data center sites. You will lead technicians, coordinate with contractors, and ensure safety, timely service delivery, and compliance with procedures.
The role requires hands-on UPS/CRAC experience, strong leadership, and the ability to respond to emergencies with confidence. A Class 3 driving license is advantageous for rapid site response.
Occupation: Assistant Service Manager (Electrical)
Prepare and manage quotations for maintenance contracts, as well as troubleshooting and repair works for UPS systems, CRAC units, and other critical infrastructure across various data center locations.
Guide and supervise a team of technicians to ensure efficient and timely service delivery.
Respond promptly to emergency requests to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
Liaise with contractors for rectification and ad-hoc works, ensuring quality and compliance.
Track maintenance activities, follow up on actions, and maintain accurate checklists, schedules, and reports.
Lead and advise on technical investigations for rectification works, ensuring proper resolution of issues.
Be available for 24/7 standby duty to address urgent service needs.
Review Risk Assessments (RA) and Method Statements (MS) to ensure safe execution of work.
Maintain mobility across multiple sites; a Class 3 driving license (or equivalent) is advantageous for rapid response to urgent needs.
Diploma or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline (degree preferred).
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data center or critical facility operations, including hands-on experience with UPS, CRAC, and building monitoring systems.
Proven experience in leading technical teams and coordinating with contractors and vendors.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessments, and method statements.
Proficiency in maintenance tracking and reporting tools; familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Ability to work in a dynamic and mobile environment, with flexibility to respond to emergencies and travel between sites.
Class 3 driving license is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
