Job summary

Munters in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Service Engineer / Senior Service Technician (HVAC) to support customers with field service, maintenance and technical support.

You will help ensure Munters equipment operates safely and reliably while delivering high-quality service and guidance to clients, with occasional overseas assignments and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or related equipment maintenance.
• Able to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) or HVAC controls is a plus.
• Willing to travel overseas for service assignments.
• Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite service, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of HVAC and climate control equipment.
• Support installation, commissioning, inspection and testing of Munters equipment and systems.
• Diagnose faults and take corrective actions to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Explain service findings to customers and internal stakeholders clearly.
• Record work performed and parts used in field service reports.
• Follow safety, quality and site requirements in all activities.
• Identify opportunities for upgrades and refer to sales/service teams.
• Travel for overseas service assignments when required.

The role

We are looking for an Assistant Service Engineer / Senior Service Technician (HVAC) to support Munters customers through reliable field service, maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support.

In this role, you will help ensure Munters equipment and solutions operate safely, efficiently and reliably while providing a high level of service and technical support to our customers.

What you will do

• Perform onsite service, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of commercial and industrial dehumidification, HVAC and climate control equipment.
• Support installation, commissioning, inspection and testing of Munters equipment and systems.
• Diagnose equipment faults and carry out corrective actions to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation.
• Use service tools, technical drawings, schematics, manuals and service documentation to complete assigned work accurately.
• Explain service findings, technical issues and recommended next steps clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide basic technical guidance and training to customers on the operation and maintenance of Munters equipment.
• Record work performed, parts used, findings and recommendations accurately in field service reports and relevant service systems.
• Follow Munters safety, quality and customer-site requirements in all service activities.
• Identify potential opportunities for equipment upgrades, spare parts and additional service solutions, and refer these opportunities to the relevant sales/service team.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, customers and stakeholders on service status, risks and required follow-up.
• Support overseas service assignments when required.

What you bring

• NITEC/Higher NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Building Services Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in HVAC, refrigeration, air-conditioning, dehumidification or related equipment maintenance and repair.
• Hands-on technical aptitude and good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and read technical manuals, electrical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC controls and control systems would be an added advantage.
• Customer-oriented with good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently at customer sites and as part of a service team.
• Expected to support emergency service calls and onsite visits outside normal working hours when required.
• Willing to travel overseas for service assignments when required.
• Possession of a valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence would be an added advantage.
