Job summary

SWIA PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Project Manager to lead and coordinate major construction projects from design to completion.

You will manage timelines, budgets, quality standards, and safety, while mentoring the project team and liaising with clients and contractors.

This role requires a Civil Engineering degree and at least five years of construction experience, with on-site work near Changi Airport.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the construction industry.

• Based at site office near Changi Airport.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall project management activities from award to completion within budget, schedule, and quality.
• Lead and mentor project team; set guidelines and provide supervision.
• Coordinate progress reports including Monthly Report, VO Management, and EOT assessments.
• Liaise with Client Representatives, Consultants, and Contractors in regular meetings.
• Ensure EHS compliance, conduct safety and quality controls on site.
• Monitor site labor, subcontractors, and resolve construction challenges.
• Develop short and long-range project goals and budgets.

Job Description

• Report and assist Project Director (PD) on project functions included but not limited to project management, site management, risk control management etc. to meet the project(s) goals;
• Leading and mentoring a project team by setting guidelines and/or procedures, providing advice and supervision when necessary;
• Responsible for overall Project Management activities inclusive of overall planning and coordination of project from award of project, design, construction to completion within established budget, schedule and quality standards;
• Assist PD in collations of project progress reports e.g. Monthly Report, VO Management, EOT Assessment, Project Progress Updates, etc;
• Monitor project development schedule and manage the day-to-day operations of a program, project or function, including developing short and long-range goals, objectives and budgets, coordinating activities with other Contractors;
• Conduct technical reviews to ensure compliance with Contractual requirements and target completion date is met;
• Liaise with Client's Representatives, Consultants and/or Contractors engaged on the project and attend regular meetings so as to ensure the progress is on schedule;
• Supervise and monitoring the site labor force and monitor the work of Subcontractors including resolve any unexpected construction difficulties and other problems that may arise;
• Oversee quality control and safety matters on the site and to ensure Environmental, Safety & Health (EHS) practices are carried out at all time and identify high risks safety hazard activities before construction and approval of Method Statements;
• Under the WSH Act, employees have a duty to keep their workplace and colleagues safe, cooperate with employers and follow safety and health procedure, report unsafe acts and incidents, do not tamper with safety devices or perform wilful or reckless acts; and
• Be responsible for any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as your superior/management deem fit.
