Job summary

The Assistant Manager, Technical at LUM CHANG BUILDERS PTE. LTD. will lead the design coordination team for complex construction projects, coordinating with consultants, clients, contractors, and authorities to meet regulations and specs.

You will guide the preparation of shop drawings, materials approvals, method statements, and submission tracking. The role emphasizes solving design issues, evaluating value engineering proposals, and ensuring safety, constructability, and quality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering with minimum 6 years’ relevant experience in construction or engineering consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes, authority regulations, and construction methodologies.
• Independent, analytical, highly motivated with excellent team spirit and interpersonal skills.
• Candidates with 'Design for Safety for Professionals' certification will be added advantage

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Design/Coordination Engineers coordinating design drawings with consultants to comply with regulations and project specs.

• Review and address technical queries by raising RFAs and RFIs for design clarification.
• Initiate and evaluate value engineering proposals that enhance project delivery in terms of cost, safety, constructability, and quality.

• Act as the key liaison between consultants, clients, contractors, and authorities on all design-related matters.

• Initiate and evaluate value engineering proposals that enhance project delivery in terms of cost-effectiveness, safety, constructability, and quality.

Job Requirements:
