Changi Airports International Pte Ltd is seeking an Assistant Manager in Category Management & Business Development for iShopChangi (Beauty and Wellness). This permanent role focuses on expanding the merchant base and driving category growth with support from Marketing and Operations.

The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years in merchandising/ecommerce or marketplace, strong networks, and excellent communication skills to foster long-term partnerships and deliver sales results.

• Strong industry networks and contacts in the relevant industry preferred.
• Excellent written and presentation communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead merchant acquisition including prospecting, negotiating and development of necessary promotions.
• Own merchant onboarding up to point of contracting and / or renewals, before handing over to the Operations Team for on-boarding ops and day-to-day support.
• Be responsible for sales targets of merchants under your care and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned merchants.
• Continually review performance of your merchants and conceive new business ideas to grow sales (range expansion, marketing, partnerships).
• Build and maintain good relationships and provide value-added support to foster long-term partnerships.
• Responsible for merchant level performance analysis and supporting monthly business reporting activities.
• Resolve merchant operations issues related to publication, orders, logistics and payments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations and Product teams to support initiatives and campaigns.
• Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements to enhance merchant experience.

You will be a key member of the Business Development Team and will expand and grow the category. Your core responsibilities with be in Category Management to achieve various growth segments in the assigned categories. You will be heavily supported by the marketing and operations team to grow your categories.

Responsibilities:

1. Merchant Acquisition

• Lead merchant acquisition efforts including prospecting, negotiating and development of necessary promotions
• Own merchant onboarding up to point of contracting and / or renewals, before handing over to the Operations Team for on-boarding ops and day-to-day support

2. Account Management

• Be responsible for sales targets of merchants under your care and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned merchants.
• Continually review performance of your merchants, work with them to strategically conceive new business ideas to grow sales which may include range expansion, marketing, partnerships etc.
• Build and maintain good relationship and provide value-added support to foster long-term partnerships.

3. Business and operations

• Responsible for merchant level performance analysis and supporting monthly business reporting activities.
• Resolve any merchant operations issues related to publication, orders, logistics and payments in a timely and effective manner
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (e.g. Marketing, Operations and Product teams) to support commercial initiatives and campaign execution
• Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements to enhance merchant experience and business performance.

4. Profitability

• Oversee merchant-level profitability by managing margin negotiations, promotions and campaign monetization to drive sustainable growth
• Identify new commercial opportunities and business initiatives to grow sales

5. Additional Responsibilities

• Support ad hoc projects and initiatives, including serving as secretariat, coordinator or project lead where required.
• Contribute to team engagement and organizational initiatives, and undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
