Job summary

The Grassroots'Club, The is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the development and delivery of its membership and partnership strategy within a programme-centric, asset-light operating model.

The role focuses on strengthening the membership value proposition, driving activation and engagement, and managing strategic partnerships while ensuring benefits and programmes remain relevant, accessible and sustainable.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Membership Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in membership management, partnerships, business development, marketing, hospitality, lifestyle, community or related sectors.
  • Good understanding of membership engagement, partnership development and customer/member experience.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, priorities and stakeholders.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret membership, participation and utilisation data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Good written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with CRM, membership management systems, digital platforms and reporting tools.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Service-oriented, with initiative and creativity in developing solutions and experiences that enhance member value.

Responsibilities

  • Develop initiatives to increase activation and utilisation of membership.
  • Support outreach and engagement initiatives to communicate the value of membership.
  • Develop targeted membership engagement initiatives based on member data and feedback.
  • Identify, evaluate and develop strategic partnerships to strengthen membership value proposition.
  • Develop partnerships with organisations to provide members access to experiences.
  • Negotiate favourable terms with partners to enhance member value and sustainability.
  • Monitor and analyse membership data, activation and programme participation.
  • Develop and implement communication to promote programmes, partnerships and services.
  • Assist in preparation and management of annual budget for membership and partnerships.
  • Monitor expenditure against budgets and ensure financial controls.

Job description

About the role

Support the development and delivery of The Grassroots'Club's membership and partnership strategy under the Club's programme-centric,asset-light and digitally enabled operating model. The role is responsible forstrengthening the Club's membership value proposition, driving memberactivation, engagement and utilisation, developing and managing strategicpartnerships, and ensuring that membership benefits, access passes, programmesand partner offerings remain relevant, accessible and sustainable. The AssistantManager will also support the effective administration of membershipoperations, digital services, partnership arrangements, procurement andperformance reporting.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and implement initiatives to increase awareness, activation, engagement and utilisation of TGC membership among eligible members
  • Support outreach and engagement initiatives to communicate the value of TGC membership and encourage members to actively participate in the Club's programmes, benefits, access passes and other offerings
  • Develop targeted membership engagement initiatives based on members' interests, preferences, participation patterns and feedback
  • Identify, evaluate and develop strategic partnerships and business opportunities that strengthen TGC's membership value proposition, expand the range of member offerings and contribute towards the Club's financial sustainability
  • Develop partnerships with relevant organisations, service providers, merchants and other stakeholders to provide members with access to recreational, lifestyle, wellness, sports, attractions, programmes, activities and other relevant experiences
  • Negotiate mutually beneficial commercial and non-commercial terms with partners to achieve favourable outcomes, enhance member value and support the financial sustainability of the Club
  • Monitor and analyse membership data, including membership activation, engagement, programme participation, access-pass utilisation, benefit usage and other relevant indicators
  • Develop and implement communication and promotional initiatives to increase awareness and utilisation of TGC programmes, partnerships, benefits and services
  • Assist in the preparation, review and management of the annual budget for membership, partnerships and assigned initiatives
  • Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and ensure appropriate financial controls are maintained
Job Requirements
