Vac-Tech Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced HR professional to own payroll and key HR functions for a diverse workforce. You will guide junior team members, handle complex HR matters and support HR improvement projects.
The role covers payroll processing, benefits, work-pass administration, employee relations and performance initiatives. A Diploma/Degree in HRM or related field and 5+ years of generalist experience are preferred.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will take ownership of payroll and key HR functions while supporting a diverse workforce comprising office employees and operations workers. You will also guide junior HR team members, handle more complex HR matters and support ongoing HR improvement projects.
Manage the monthly payroll cycle accurately and on time.
Verify attendance, overtime, allowances, claims and deductions.
Ensure compliance with CPF, IRAS and other statutory requirements.
Administer salary adjustments, bonuses, employee benefits and insurance matters.
Support salary reviews, compensation analysis and annual HR exercises.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee confirmation, transfers, promotions and offboarding.
Prepare employment contracts, HR letters and employee documentation.
Maintain accurate employee information and records in WhyzeHR.
Handle employee enquiries relating to leave, benefits, contracts and HR policies.
Ensure HR processes and records comply with company policies and statutory requirements.
Oversee work pass applications, renewals, cancellations and related matters.
Monitor work pass validity, quota, levy and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate the onboarding and administration of foreign employees.
Keep abreast of changes in MOM requirements and advise management on their impact.
Support matters relating to foreign workers' medical examinations, accommodation and welfare where required.
Handle employee grievances, workplace issues and disciplinary matters professionally.
Support investigations, counselling sessions and disciplinary inquiries.
Advise managers on employee relations matters and the appropriate HR procedures.
Ensure compliance with Singapore employment legislation and HR best practices.
Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies, procedures and employee communications.
Coordinate performance appraisal, employee development and engagement initiatives.
Support training administration, government grants and workforce-development programmes.
Prepare HR reports, manpower information and management presentations.
Review and improve HR processes, workflows and internal controls.
Support HR digitalisation, automation and other organisational projects.
Guide and support junior HR team members in their daily work.
Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of relevant HR experience in a generalist or HR operations role.
Strong hands-on experience managing the full monthly payroll cycle.
Good knowledge of Singapore employment legislation, CPF, IRAS and MOM requirements.
Experience in work-pass and foreign-manpower administration.
Comfortable supporting a multicultural workforce, including operations and work-permit employees.
Able to handle employee relations and disciplinary matters with maturity and discretion.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with HR data.
Experience using WhyzeHR or another HRIS/payroll system will be an advantage.
Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities.
Resourceful and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
