Job summary

The Work Project is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager based in Singapore to support financial planning, reporting and business partnering across our operations. The role reports to the Finance Manager and involves handling full sets of accounts, analysis and leadership within the finance team.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Accounting or Business with at least 4 years of accounting experience, proficiency in ERP systems, strong English communication, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Business required with minimum 4 years in accounting, full set of accounts, planning and tax reporting.
• Audit and accounting background considered
• Strong English communication required
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office tools
• Ability to work independently or in a team, with dynamic workflow and tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Prepare business activity reports, financial forecasts, and budgets for internal and external stakeholders
• Handle the full sets of accounts (AR and AP) and tax reporting for selected entities and business operations
• Implement and execute departmental and organisational controls and procedures
• Business partnering with Operations, Sales and other departments
• Manage and provide coaching to Finance Associates within the Department
• Assist the Finance Manager and Head of Finance on other projects, where necessary

The Work Project is looking for a knowledgeable and passionate Assistant Finance Manager.

This full-time position is based in Singapore and reports to the Finance Manager.

We are looking for someone who is self-driven, resourceful, proactive, independent and responsible.

The candidate should be experienced in handling full sets of accounts, and should possess the right skillsets in financial analysis and reporting, business partnering and leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and budgets for both internal and external stakeholders

• Handle the full sets of accounts (including AR and AP) and tax reporting for selected entities and business operations

• Implement and execute departmental and organisational controls and procedures

• Business partnering with Operations, Sales and other departments

• Manage and provide coaching to Finance Associates within the Department

• Assist the Finance Manager and Head of Finance on other projects, where necessary

Experience & Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Business with minimum 4 years working experience in accounting role, handling full set of accounts, management reporting, and tax reporting

• Candidates with combination of audit and accounting background would be considered

• Excellent verbal and written command of English

• Proficient with Accounting and ERP Software, as well as Microsoft Office applications, including MS Excel and MSPower Point

• Able to cope with dynamic workflow and tight deadline

• Able to work independently or in a team environment

• Experience in the real estate or co-working industry would be advantageous

• Experience in a regional role, handling the accounts of overseas subsidiaries would be advantageous

• Able to start work immediately or within short notice
