Job summary

GMP Technologies is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance Team in Singapore. You will support the Manager in overseeing accounting, audit, tax, and statutory reporting functions, ensuring compliance with Singapore standards and group policies.

You will prepare management accounts, participate in monthly closes, GST returns, tax filings, and assist with budgets and audits while liaising with auditors and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of relevant accounting experience, construction industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GST, corporate tax, and local accounting standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP or other ERP systems advantageous.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented and a strong team player with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow with variance analysis.
• Lead monthly close with journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Review AP/AR, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and P&L schedules.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
• Support audits, GST returns, tax filings, and regulatory submissions.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance Team. This role plays a key part in supporting the Manager in overseeing accounting, audit, tax, and statutory reporting functions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for timely financial reporting and ensuring compliance with Group policies, Singapore Accounting standards, and statutory requirements. The role will also support the companys financial operations and drive improvements in finance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, including variance analysis and commentary on financial performance against budget.
• Assist in the preparation of business plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Lead monthly closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Review accounting schedules (AP, AR, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, balance sheet, and P&L accounts, etc.).
• Support management with financial analysis and reporting.
• Prepare and file quarterly GST returns accurately and on time.
• Handle banking and treasury matters.
• Participate in audits, stock takes, and tax return preparation.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain proper documentation for audit trails and regulatory submissions.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and new assignments as required.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 10 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with exposure to the construction industry.
• Good knowledge of GST, corporate tax, accounting standards, and local compliance requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications experience with SAP or other ERP systems will be an added advantage.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
