Job summary

ULVAC SINGAPORE PTE LTD is seeking support engineers to install, commission, maintain and repair semiconductor equipment and vacuum pumps at customer sites in Singapore.

The role includes overseas training lasting 3 to 6 months in Japan, China, Taiwan or Thailand, and requires hands-on service work, basic electrical troubleshooting and safe, quality-focused teamwork.

Qualifications

• NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Mechatronic/Mechanical or related discipline.
• Preferably 1–2 years of service, maintenance or equipment assembly experience; fresh graduates welcome.
• Experience combining mechanical servicing with basic electrical troubleshooting; vacuum pump experience is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of technical drawings and hand tools.
• Willingness to learn hands-on service work and participate in overseas training.
• Good verbal and written communication, effective teamwork and task ownership.

Responsibilities

• Assist with equipment installation, start-up, commissioning and preventive maintenance at customer sites.
• Assist with disassembly, inspection, overhaul, repair, reassembly and testing of dry and wet vacuum pumps, following approved procedures.
• Record work completed, measurements, parts used and outstanding issues accurately in service reports and maintenance records.
• Prepare tools and service parts, support clear job handovers, and promptly escalation faults or delays beyond assigned competence.
• Follow company and customer safety and quality requirements, including equipment isolation and cleanroom procedures where applicable.
• Participate in overseas product and technical training lasting 3 to 6 months in Japan, China, Taiwan or Thailand, as assigned.

• Preferably 1 to 2 years of related service, maintenance or equipment assembly experience. Fresh Diploma and Degree graduates are welcome to apply; appointment grade depends on assessment.
• For the current vacancies, experience combining mechanical servicing with basic electrical troubleshooting is preferred; vacuum pump experience is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of technical drawings and hand tools; relevant internship or project experience isan advantage.
• Willingness to learn hands-on service work and participate in the stated overseas training.
• Good verbal and written communication, effective teamwork, and responsibility for completing tasks, reporting progress and following up on outstanding work.
