Job summary

The Ministry of Defence of Singapore seeks an experienced auditor to lead the Finance and Procurement Audit Section within Army units, evaluating internal controls and identifying weaknesses to improve financial and procurement practices.

In this role you will plan and conduct audits, review compliance with policies, prepare findings, and drive follow-up on recommendations, with a focus on stakeholder management and leadership.

Qualifications

• Education in Accountancy, Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in procurement, logistics, finance, or audit fields.
• Familiarity and proficiency in procurement and enterprise systems.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
• Effective stakeholder management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities.

What The Role Is

You lead the Finance and Procurement (F&P) Audit Section in conducting audits across Army units, identifying systemic weaknesses and assessing internal controls to drive improvements in financial and procurement management.

What You Will Be Working On

• Plan and conduct audits across Army units to assess the effectiveness of internal controls
• Identify systemic weaknesses and recommend improvements to financial and procurement management practices
• Review and evaluate compliance with prevailing finance and procurement policies and guidelines
• Prepare audit findings and reports, and follow up on the implementation of recommendations

Challenge(s)

• Identifying systemic weaknesses across a diverse range of Army units while ensuring audit findings are actionable and drive meaningful improvements in internal controls

What We Are Looking For

• Education in Accountancy, Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred
