Job summary

CITA RASA SELATAN PTE. LTD. is seeking a kitchen assistant to support the Head Cook in meal preparation. You will clean, cut, and chop ingredients, set up stations, and help maintain hygienic work areas to ensure smooth operation and timely meals.

The role requires at least 4 years of kitchen experience, strong teamwork, and clear communication to coordinate daily tasks and uphold safety standards. This position is based in Singapore and involves hands-on food prep and cleanliness duties.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and hygiene practices to ensure safe food handling.
• Minimum 4 years of experience working in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals by cleaning, cutting, and chopping food ingredients under the Head Cook’s guidance to support meal preparation.
• Set up and stock preparation stations and kitchen areas to ensure smooth and timely meal preparation.
• Maintain food preparation and storage areas to comply with health and safety standards and prevent contamination.
• Clean preparation areas thoroughly and manage leftover food responsibly to maintain hygiene and reduce waste.
• Stock inventory and supplies accurately to support uninterrupted kitchen operations.
• Communicate clearly and coordinate tasks with team members to enhance kitchen workflow and efficiency.
• Follow instructions from the Head Cook and report progress regularly to ensure kitchen standards and timelines are met.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation areas according to company hygiene codes and health and safety standards.
• Maintain overall kitchen cleanliness and wash dishes and utensils to support smooth kitchen operations.
