Job summary

The Supreme HR Advisory Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Chef to join the kitchen team in Somerset. The role involves assisting the chef with daily food preparation, cooking, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and kitchen requirements.

Working days are five days with rotating shifts from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, including a 2.5-hour break. Staff meals are provided and the location is Somerset. Prior kitchen experience is preferred; Korean cuisine experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred.
• Experience with Korean cuisine is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the chef with daily food preparation and cooking.
• Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and kitchen requirements.
• Assist with preparation of vegetables, sauces, noodles, dumplings and other menu items.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Ensure food preparation areas, kitchen equipment and workstations are kept clean and hygienic.
• Assist with receiving and storing ingredients.
• Check food quality and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed.
• Monitor ingredient usage and minimise food wastage.
• Perform other kitchen duties as required.
