Job summary

GURUU MARINE AND OFFSHORE PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced HSE and Marine Operations professional to oversee vessel activities, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and efficient operations across the fleet.

You will lead HSE governance, coordinate with crews, clients and authorities, plan training, conduct risk assessments and drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental practices.

Qualifications

• Oversight of marine operations to ensure vessel activities are conducted safely and in line with regulatory and company requirements.
• Monitor operational performance, compliance and safety standards across marine activities.
• Coordinate with vessel crews, clients, contractors and authorities on operational, regulatory and HSE matters.
• Provide guidance on operational requirements and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement and continuously improve HSE policies, procedures and programmes.
• Conduct inspections, risk assessments, safety audits and compliance reviews.
• Identify operational hazards and ensure appropriate control measures.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions; monitor effectiveness of actions.
• Plan and coordinate HSE training, safety briefings, drills and preparedness exercises.
• Provide guidance on safety standards and environmental practices across marine operations.
• Prepare and review HSE and marine operation reports; drive continuous improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities

Marine Operations

• Provide oversight of marine operations to ensure vessel activities are conducted safely, efficiently and in accordance with applicable regulatory and company requirements.

• Monitor operational performance, compliance and safety standards across marine activities.

• Coordinate with vessel crews, clients, contractors and relevant authorities to address operational, regulatory and HSE matters.

• Provide guidance and support to marine personnel on operational requirements and safe working practices.

HSE Management

• Establish, implement and continuously improve HSE policies, procedures, standards and programmes.

• Conduct and oversee inspections, risk assessments, safety audits and compliance reviews.

• Identify operational hazards and HSE risks and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.

• Lead the investigation of incidents and accidents and develop appropriate corrective and preventive action plans.

• Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions and follow up on outstanding issues.

Training & Emergency Preparedness

• Lead the planning and coordination of HSE training, safety briefings, emergency response drills and preparedness exercises.

• Provide guidance to marine and HSE personnel on applicable safety standards, procedures and operational requirements.

• Promote a strong safety culture and environmental awareness across marine operations.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Prepare and review HSE reports, marine operational reports, audit findings and other required documentation.

• Monitor key operational and HSE performance indicators and identify areas for improvement.

• Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, safety performance, regulatory compliance and environmental practices.
