Job summary

Randstad - Corporate is seeking an on-site Equipment Technician to lead the setup and assembly of complex machinery, including vision systems and AOI. The role encompasses calibration, QA testing, and active participation in logistics and supplier coordination to ensure timely delivery.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma / Higher Nitec in Mechanical / Electrical / Manufacturing Engineering and can start immediately or on short notice. Travel may be required to support international operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Higher Nitec in Mechanical / Electrical / Manufacturing Engineering.
• Set-Up & Assemble entire machine equipment.
• Experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing is a plus.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, servo motors, sensors, and pneumatics is preferred.
• Able to read mechanical and electrical drawings is advantageous.
• Knowledge in motor tuning, AOI, or vision systems is a bonus.
• Training provided to candidates with no experience.
• Able to commence immediate or on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup and assembly of complex equipment including vision systems, AOI, and tape & reel machines.
• Run machine and module alignment and vision system calibration for peak performance.
• Diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues; provide on-site technical support with travel.
• Oversee kit assembly, functional testing, and final certification to meet quality standards.
• Manage inventory levels, coordinate parts purchasing and collection, and maintain stock organization.
• Liaise with external subcontractors to monitor quality and timely completion of outsourced tasks.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Assembly and Setup: Lead the precise setup and assembly of complex equipment, including vision systems, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), tape & reel machines, and associated mechanical/electrical components.
• System Calibration and Alignment: Run machine and module alignment and vision system calibration to ensure peak operational performance and accuracy.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner. Provide expert on-site technical support, requiring both local and international travel.
• Quality Assurance & Testing: Oversee and run kit assembly, functional testing, and final certification processes to meet rigorous quality standards.
• Logistics and Inventory Management: Manage critical inventory levels, coordinate the purchasing and collection of necessary parts, and maintain efficient stock organization.
• External Coordination: Liaise with external subcontractors to manage and monitor the quality and timely completion of outsourced technical tasks.
