Job summary

Moss Cross Tokyo Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a hardworking Commis Chef / Demi Chef to support daily lunch and dinner service, working closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef and Japanese Chef to maintain quality and efficiency.

You will follow SOPs, handle mise en place, assist with plating, maintain hygiene and stock, and adapt to a busy multicultural kitchen while upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Support daily lunch and dinner kitchen operations.
• Carry out mise en place and food preparation before service.
• Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, standards and SOPs.
• Follow instructions from the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.
• Work closely with our Japanese Chef and other kitchen team members.
• Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, portioning and presentation.
• Assist with plating and service during busy lunch and dinner periods.
• Maintain proper food storage, labelling and stock rotation.
• Follow FIFO procedures and food safety requirements.
• Keep kitchen stations, equipment and work areas clean and organised at all times.
