ITRON ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a contract technician to provide onsite support for laboratory equipment, assist with relocation and conveyance activities, and perform basic disassembly/reassembly.

The role requires a technical diploma/degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience. The candidate will conduct equipment readiness checks, guide relocation teams on proper handling, and maintain documentation while ensuring safety and manufacturer requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in equipment servicing, instrument maintenance, technical support or laboratory equipment installation preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments or analytical equipment handling is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of equipment disassembly, reassembly and technical troubleshooting.

Responsabilités

• Provide onsite technical support for laboratory equipment and instrument relocation activities.
• Assist with basic instrument disassembly, reassembly and preparation for safe transportation.
• Perform equipment readiness checks before relocation, including visual inspection and verification of accessories.
• Support instrument preparation activities, including securing removable components and identifying handling requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to relocation coordinators and logistics vendors on equipment handling, movement and installation requirements.
• Assist with equipment positioning, reassembly and basic post-relocation readiness checks.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues encountered during equipment relocation.
• Escalate complex faults to authorised personnel.
• Maintain technical checklists and relocation activity documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and manufacturer requirements.

• This is a 10-months contract job.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in equipment servicing, instrument maintenance, technical support or laboratory equipment installation preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments, analytical equipment or scientific equipment handling is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of equipment disassembly, reassembly and technical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read technical documentation and follow equipment handling procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and onsite coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with relocation teams and equipment specialists.
