Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Sales, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the building materials or architectural products industry with proven track specification and sales track record.
• Strong understanding of product specifications and project lifecycles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and designers to ensure product specifications are included in projects to meet sales budgets.
• Proactively seek out and establish relationships with new clients to expand market share.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current clients to foster repeat business and satisfaction.
• Conduct effective product presentations to architects, designers, and stakeholders to showcase advantages and salient features.
• Partner with main contractors and carpenters to promote products as preferred materials and drive sales opportunities.
• Track specification progress, success rates and manage follow-up to convert specifications into sales.
• Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, accounts, logistics, customer service) to ensure smooth sales management and project deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of specification activities, project status, and customer interactions for reporting and analysis.
• Gather and relay market insights to management for strategic decision-making.
